Absolutely not. You may choose to withdraw from the process at any time without penalty. The Docusign after you have completed all the application questions is simply confirming that the information listed is correct and that you give permission for us to send it over to the underwriters.
If your birthday occurs during the application process, you will have the option once approved, to move forward with backdating your policy to your birthday at a lower premium or moving forward with the current date of your policy, at a slightly higher premium. An agent will reach out to you once approved with these options.
DocuSign is used to review the information you have provided in the online application and to confirm the information is correct. It also gives us permission, once you have e-signed, to submit your application to our underwriters.
There is no waiting period. Once approved, you'll have a conversation with an Ethos agent about your policy details before being charged your first premium. Once the first premium is charged, you are fully covered.
We ask that you create an Ethos account using your email address so that we can protect the private information you submit during the application process.
Our underwriters require a credit card to help verify your identity and prevent fraud. Nothing will be charged unless your application is approved and you decide to move forward with the policy.
Income is one of the factors used to determine the amount of coverage you are eligible for. This also helps us find the right coverage for you once you are approved.
