We offer term policies insured by Legal & General America (LGA), a top-rated life insurance company. Legal & General America has issued over a million policies in the U.S. for more than 70 years and currently has $734 billion of coverage in force. LGA has achieved superior ratings according to several independent financial strength measures.

How does the approval process vary by carrier?
Different carriers and types of life insurance have different approval processes. Here’s how they break down by carrier:
  • Legal & General America: Our term life policies with LGA are fully underwritten. While most fully underwritten policies require applicants to fill out a full application and take a medical exam, we don’t require a medical exam from most applicants. TruStage: Our term life policies with TruStage are simplified issue. This means that applicants will be asked some health-related questions, but won’t have to take a medical exam.
  • AAA Life: Whole life policies with AAA Life are guaranteed issue. Applicants who meet the standards for this product will be guaranteed coverage, without needing to answer any health questions or take a medical exam.
  • TruStage: Our term life policies with TruStage are simplified issue. This means that applicants will be asked some health-related questions, but won’t have to take a medical exam.
  • Principal: Our policies through Principal can be anywhere from simplified issue to fully underwritten. This will vary depending on the age of the applicant, and what type of coverage they’re looking for.
  • Ameritas Life Insurance Corp.: Our term policies through Ameritas are simplified issue. Applicants will be asked some health-related questions, but don’t need to take a medical exam. With this simplified process, an application decision is instant.
