The terms of our referral program make clear that you can only refer your friends, family members, or colleagues whom you personally know. The program explicitly prohibits:
At Ethos, we always aim to do the right thing and comply with all laws, so we’re not able to provide referral rewards to anyone who violates these terms. These guidelines are here to help you avoid violating any laws while sharing Ethos. So please don’t violate these rules, because insurance fraud is serious, and we don’t want anyone committing felonies.
Every person who’s married should consider having coverage to protect their better half.
If they’ve got kids, they’ve got things like college tuition to protect.
Mortgages and other home-related expenses are no joke.
If someone like an elderly parent relies on them for financial support, they need coverage.
As many people as you want! There’s no limit. However, you may not 1) spam strangers with your link or 2) distribute or publish your link to a social media platform to crowdsource referrals. When telling friends about Ethos, you should not discuss the details of the policies, coverage amounts, or rates. You also cannot pay anyone to apply for coverage or pay anyone to help you solicit referrals.
Anyone you think may benefit from life insurance, as long as they meet our general eligibility requirements. All U.S. citizens and permanent residents between the ages of 20 and 85, and who live in a state where we operate, can apply. Ethos is licensed and operates in all 49 US states and the District of Columbia, excluding the state of New York.
You cannot refer yourself, any fake accounts, or the same person more than once. You cannot refer anyone you do not personally know.
All gift cards are sent out every Friday. If someone you know applies using your link, your gift card will be delivered to your email inbox the Friday after they submit their application. If more than a week has passed since they applied, reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Feel free to email email@example.com with any questions.
