FAQ
Answers to our most-asked questions.

What is the right audience size?

Facebook typically recommends a source audience of 1,000 to 50,000 people.

What is an A/B test?

An A/B test, also known as a split test, is a randomized experimentation process. In this process, two versions of the same element (e.g., email, social ad) are shown to different groups at the same time. This determines which version yields the strongest results.

Is it worth it to do an A/B test with Facebook ads?

It depends on your spending. For lower amounts, it might not yield good results. If you spend around $5,000 a month or more, you’ll get better results with this type of testing.

What is dynamic creative?

Dynamic creative uses multiple media (e.g., images, videos) and ad components (e.g., text or calls-to-action) in various combinations to improve ad performance.

Do you recommend dynamic creative?

Yes. Dynamic creative is recommended because it gives Facebook control of which creative to show and which creative resonates better with the audience. It also takes into account creative fatigue, so clients aren’t turned off.

Can I target multiple locations at once?

Targeting is done at the ad set level, so to target two different locations, you can create two different ad sets under a given campaign. One of the most important things to keep in mind with this is to ensure that no two ad sets have audience overlap. Audience overlap can make it so that your own ad sets will be competing with each other, raising your overall cost.

When you run a Facebook ad, is it automatically run on Instagram?

You can control where it appears by selecting placement at the ad set level, or use automatic placement to let Facebook decide what placement can maximize outcome.

What privacy policy should I use for lead ads?

Applicable legal requirements, such as advertising platforms’ terms and conditions, may obligate you (and/or the entity on whose behalf you’re working) to provide appropriate privacy notices. There are free web-based providers that generate privacy notices that may be leveraged for these purposes. You may consider conducting a web search for such providers using terms such as “free privacy policy generator” or similar language.

Ethos Technologies Inc. does not (i) endorse any provider of these products/services; and (ii) provide an assessment to third parties as to the legal sufficiency of any such notice. You can control where it appears by selecting placement at the ad set level, or use the automatic placement to let Facebook decide what placement can maximize outcome.
